Home ventilator
In Medseven medical store in Bydgoszcz, we sell, among others: various types of home ventilators, i.e. devices that are used during home treatment of patients and are designed to support or replace the patient’s muscles during breathing. Because of that ventilators are also often called ‘artificial lungs’. For a long time this type of device was reserved only for usage in hospitals. Currently manufactured ventilators, thanks to a significant reduction in their size, lower weight and increased reliability, can also be successfully used in private homes during the treatment of seriously ill patients.
Who are home ventilators made for?
Home ventilators are most often used to treat patients who remain very weak or unconscious as a result of severe injuries. They are also used in the home treatment of patients who use neuromuscular blocking drugs during therapy and for those who suffer from various types of lung conditions.
Providing the body with an adequate lung ventilation and proper breathing during treatment is one of the most important factors for keeping all organs functioning properly.
In cases where the patient has a complete cessation of respiratory activity, or when the respiratory activity is difficult, or it is unable to fully meet the patient’s oxygen requirements, the usage of a home ventilator allows artificial, forced breathing to meet those needs at least for some time.
Our offer includes recommended ventilators such as the new generation VENTILogic LS ventilator, PRISMA VENT which is used for mechanical ventilation of the Patient, ensuring a high standard of reliability in everyday use.
